Bruce Walker

Bruce Walker played a foundational role in the establishment of the Ku-ring-gai Cubs Rugby League Club and is widely regarded as the driving force behind the return of junior rugby league to the North Shore. As the club’s founding President, Bruce worked closely with Ku-ring-gai Council and the North Sydney Bears to turn the vision of a local junior rugby league club into a reality in 2015. His leadership, commitment, and passion for grassroots development were instrumental in creating a sustainable club built on strong community values, providing opportunities for generations of local boys and girls to play and enjoy rugby league. His contribution to the Cubs continues to be recognised through his status as a Life Member of the club.

His belief in the importance of grassroots pathways — and his commitment as both a coach and parent — helped lay the foundations for the club’s long-term success. Through his leadership and dedication to young players, Mark contributed significantly to shaping the positive and supportive environment that defines the Ku-ring-gai Cubs today.
